Access China Tours (ACT) was founded in 1996 by Joseph Sinisi and Mark Huang, with offices in Denver, CO, USA, Vancouver, BC, Canada, and Beijing, China. Each year, hundreds of seasoned travelers from the United States and Canada join our group tours or private trips to one of the most unique and fascinating nations on earth: China, and its equally wonderful neighboring countries such as India, Japan, Thailand, and Vietnam etc in South, East, and Southeast Asia regions.

Mark Huang, owner & master tour designer, Vancouver Office
Mark grew up in northern China and graduated from Peking University in Beijing. He also studied communications at UC Santa Barbara in the late 80s. He has been involved in the travel industry his entire career, starting as a guide for a reputable China culture tour company based in San Francisco. In 1996, he and Joe Sinisi founded Access China Tours. As one of owners of ACT, Mark constantly explores China and its neighboring nations to offer unique experiences to his clients.
Joe Sinisi, owner, director of marketing & sales, senior tour designer, Denver Office
Joe grew up in Denver, Colorado and attended college at Princeton University and the University of Colorado Law School. Joe became intrigued with China while working in Beijing in the 1990s. Finding travel far more interesting and rewarding than law, in 1996 he and Mark Huang founded Access China Tours. Although Joe has traveled to 78 nations, China always remains his favorite. Having visited 27 of China’s 34 provinces and regions, Joe has discovered numerous special places, events and experiences to share with ACT’s clients. Joe and his wife and daughter live in Denver.
Cherry Chen, owner and director of sales & reservation, Vancouver Office
Cherry is a native of Tianjin, China and graduated from Peking University in Beijing with a Master’s degree in Linguistics. Cherry enjoys travel and has been to many destinations in Asia and North America. Since joining Access China Tours in 2001, Cherry has led group tours and conducted detailed research trips in China and Thailand. She is the sales & reservation director of Access China Tours and senior tour designer. Cherry also works closely with travel agencies and educational institution clients. Her specialty is designing private group and family tours to China and Southeast Asia.
Napito Asahara, expert tour designer and operation executive, Vancouver Office
Napito was born in Beijing, China and grew up in Tokyo, Japan. She moved to the US to study at California State University, East Bay and later moved to Canada to complete her degree in International Studies at Simon Fraser University. Napito has traveled extensively in Japan, Southeast Asia, Europe, and North America and has worked in both private and public institutions. Napito has a passion for international travel and is very enthusiastic about sharing her knowledge on Japanese culture and traditions with her clients.
Rebecca Zheng, assistant manager of operation & customer service, Vancouver Office
Rebecca was born and raised in Shanghai. She has a great passion for travel and has traveled extensively in Southeast Asia, North America, and Europe. Prior to joining ACT, Rebecca spent over ten years working in office operations, maintaining public relations, as well as providing executive support in various business settings. Rebecca graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University with Bachelor’s Degree in Culture Administration. She completed her Master’s Degree in Business Leadership from Trinity Western University.
Michael Zheng, China Operation Manager, Beijing Office
Michael was born and raised in the city of Changchun, Jilin Province of China. He graduated from Nankai University in 1991, where he majored in tourism management and English language. For the past two decades he has been involved in the tourism industry in roles ranging from group guide to tour operator to business operations manager. His knowledge of Chinese geography, history and culture is unparalleled. Michael joined Access China Tours in 2005 as the Beijing office manager in charge of China operations. Michael prides himself in being available 24/7 to respond to the in-country needs of our clients and resolve any problems or trip modifications.
Cathy Shi, logistic & operation executive, Beijing Office
Cathy was born and raised in Beijing. She graduated from Capital University of Economics & Business in Beijing. During her last two years at university, she worked as a tour guide in her spare time. After graduation, she worked at the InterContinental Beijing Hotel Financial Street and joined the Access China Tours’ team in 2008 as a logistic & operation assistant. She loves traveling and is always enthusiastic about designing the perfect travel experiences for her clients. Cathy enjoys touring around Beijing in her spare time where she currently resides with her husband and son.
Hao Jun, master tour leader and operation manager, Beijing Office
ACT’ master tour leader, Hao has worked in the travel & tourism industry for over 17 years, as a professional tour manager and tour leader for over 10 years. He has conducted many high-end tours for various top luxury tour operators based in North America and Great Britain. His excellent communication skills, professional demeanor, great sense of humor, and overall dedication to outstanding service have brought him many awards including the 2004 Best English-Speaking Guide by the Beijing Tourism Administration and the 2007 ‘Star Guide of Beijing’. Hao has a great passion for travel and everything China, which is clearly evident on every tour that he leads.
